pasta with sharp Vanilla carrots ...
... found "Feast without Muh and mowing" (incidentally, a very nice blog)
first I was not sure if carrots and vanilla blend really, but I was curious and was rewarded with an absolutely wonderful dining experience. :-)
The sharpness of the chilli, the milder the flavor of carrots and vanilla ... a perfect harmony.
And because it was so wonderful, it gives to this court a small photo-love story. :-)
For the pasta with sharp vanilla carrots you need:
200g pasta of your choice
1 shallot (diced) 1 green and 1 red
Chili
1 vanilla pod 4 medium carrots
250 ml soy cream
some oil
salt
the noodles cook as usual.
Meanwhile, peel the carrots and thinly Slices.
The chiles are either chopped or sliced.
shallots and chilies in a little oil fry,, add the carrots.
scrape out the marrow of the vanilla bean and add to the vegetables.
Pour in soy cream. add
The "empty" vanilla bean and simmer gently for 10 minutes.
little seasoning salt to add and if it is not sharp enough to raise some chili powder.
(I had very hot chiles, more focus would have been too much * g *)
The finished cooked noodles now with the vanilla and carrot mix or heat briefly.
A quick and simple dish which is much fancier. :-)
A sweet thanks to "feast without Muh mowing and" wonderful for this recipe.
let you taste it.
